Pac-Rim entered the Hawaii market with the goal of providing builders and homeowners on Maui, Oahu, Kauai, The Big Island, Molokai and Lanai with a dependable supplier of lumber and building materials on the mainland. Our strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors and our logistics expertise allow us to save our customers money. We work directly with the steamship lines and LCL carriers to save on shipping costs, and we have the ability to provide quotes on projects all the way to the jobsite on all the Hawaiian Islands except Molokai and Lanai. For these two islands, we can quote the freight price to the dock.   

We handle a full line of building materials from the ground up through the interior finish items. We simply ask that you send us your detailed list of materials and we will send back a quote with freight costs included. We strive to be your primary source building materials  and for fresh lumber packages 2x4 through 12x12 borate treated, including #1 Free of Heart center beams.

Transit Times

There are weekly steamship line sailings out of Seattle to Hawaii. For shipping cargo via the steamship lines, cutoff days are Friday and the vessels leave the Port of Seattle on Sunday.  Transit times vary by island and depend on whether the cargo is shipped via full container or LCL.

LCL Cargo

For LCL cargo, please add approximately two days to the transit time. 

There are currently two barge services to the Hawaiian Islands that operate out of the Pacific Northwest; they depart every three weeks. Cargo cutoff days are normally on Wednesday with sailings on Friday. Transit times vary by port.
